dandruff
wicked asked:

i use dandruff shampoos but it only gets rid of dandruff for a while then it comes back. now i think mine got worse because i can actually see it stuck on my scalp and its sooooo itchy and whenever i try to remove it by my nails i can feel that i’m ruining my scalp i’m afraid that the skin on my scalp will get thin.

i always use conditioners and don’t actually rinse it thoroughly because it makes my hair more soft. does it cause dandruff? what can i do to prevent dandruff and still make my fair soft? dandruff shampoos are so strong it sometimes makes my hair fall.

what can i do to prevent dandruff to come back if i get rid of it? where do we actually get this? what doctor do i go to if it gets worst? dermatologist? is my case already worst?

thanks in advance!

hair care
Arunraj V.S. asked:

How can you take care of split ends in the hair? Split ends are more prominent in long hair because such hair is not trimmed frequently. If you cut your hair every 4 to 6 weeks, you will have lesser split ends.

Hair tends to split when it is spoiled. So preferably, you should maintain your hair in good health to stop split ends. Maintain the quality of hair by using the right products and eat well balanced diet.

Harsh chemical or heat formed from parlor processes like perming, blowdrying, coloring can cause hair damage. Nutritional deficiency, over exposure to the sun, chemicals in the water you take bath with, and medication can affect hair.

If you have treated hair, it is necessary to take care of it by using suitable products. For instance, after coloring your hair, use products that are customized for colored hair. Also, go for spa treatments and protein treatments for hair health. Should you comb your hair when it is wet?

You should not comb hair when it is wet, because it is three times weaker at that time. You will only end up breaking and ruining hair strands.

Combing wet hair also leads to loss of elasticity and bounce. Let hair dry naturally. Then, comb it with a wide tooth comb or a brush to reduce hair breakage. Are 2 in 1 shampoos really good?

Shampoos are basically cleansers. They remove grime and dirt. They clean the scalp and wash off product residues, like color and oil. On the other hand, conditioners go into the cuticle layers. They cover up the cuticle with a protective shield. It is preferable to go for a mild shampoo that cleans the scalp and hair without stripping it of natural oils, and use a separate conditioner later.

Can hair texture change permanently after a procedure?

Your hair remains the same because it is the genes which underlines the color, strength and texture of your hair. The only time, when the hair texture changes is during puberty. Understand that hair procedures and hair treatments are only done to the strand of the hair and not on the root of the hair. Which is why, there is no permanent change to the hair.

Though the present hair may not have the change, the new hair which grows will. A color . A colour treatment done 10 years ago, or a year ago cannot affect it permanently. Question: Is oiling your hair really important? It is a myth which states that oiling your hair will make it grow long and lustrous.

Usually hair oils in the market are paraffin based. Real, authentic, coconut oil is expensive. It is the massage that you apply on the scalp that makes the difference. It increases blood circulation in the scalp. This way, more nutrients are passed on to the hair cells.

So it is important to massage the head regularly. Leaving oil on hair for hours can in fact, attract dirt, because it blocks the sebaceous glands. Can expensive hair care products promise better hair health? It is not a question about using expensive hair care products.

Healthy strong hair has everything to do with what you eat. If you eat a healthy diet that has all nutrients, then your hair will be taken care of . Include biotin which is used in egg yolk, liver, milk and vegetables; and zinc which you get from nuts, beans and whole grains. Include calcium and proteins in your diet.

Drink fat-free milk and eat lots of curd. As far as expensive is concerned; go for tried and tested well known hair care brands as a safe option. But eating a balanced diet is quite important if you want healthy hair.

Ethnic hair care products are a highly requested item for shelter and needy family donations. I checked out the store, but there was an entire aisle labeled “ethnic hair care”! So what are the essentials?

When we think of do it yourself hair care tips, it deals more on home remedies or treatments that are easily done and prepared. As humans, we also need to give the proper care and respect that our hair deserves just like how we take care of our skin. Just like the skin, hair is also very delicate especially when exposed to harsh chemicals and not handled with proper care and respect. Well, it’s time to make a difference and pay more attention to your hair before it gets bald and damaged. Learn more of the helpful hair care tips in the succeeding paragraphs.

Straight and wavy hair tends to get oily very quickly because of its structure. This is why it has to be washed quite often. Black hair is different. It doesn’t get oily quickly because of its tightly curled structure. This structure keeps sebum, the natural oil that the scalp produces, from flowing along the hair shaft in Black hair. That is why Black hair is dry, and that is why it should not be overwashed. Too much washing will cause it to dry out even further.

First of all you have to love your hair. You have to love it because it makes you look good, it gives you real advantages. But belive me that there are hundreds of people that hate their hair. And that’s not good because if you don’t like your hair then you will probably neglect it. You shouldn’t hate your hair because, even if it’s not such a beautiful type of hair like you see at other people on the street there are many ways to make it look real good.

One of the first items you will need, a Black hair care essential, is a good quality hydrating shampoo. You may need to spend a little more money than you have in the past, but an intense hydrating shampoo will make a noticeable difference to the quality of your hair. The cleansers are gentler and more concentrated, and you will use less of it, which will save you money in the long run.

Application of yoghurt is a good conditioner. In Asia, the age old concept of applying henna to the hair holds good, Henna is extremely good for conditioning the hair naturally. Use a little brahmi and awla powder in it to heighten the nutrition. Dandruff is cured with regular cleansing of the scalp with areentha or soap nuts mixture. The soap nut needs to be soaked overnight and this is a perfect replacement for the chemical shampoo.

Ponytails - Ponytails are all about attention to detail. Carefully placed and with slight quirks that are designed to catch the eye and intrigue. Once again contradictions are key, using multiple textures within the ponytail is enough to provide subtle detail. Piecing out selected strands of hair, or using asymmetric partings are just small easy ways to achieve little differences. Hair is also being “brushed back” into itself, or teased for a more dramatic result.

Use coconut milk as an inexpensive alternative to salon hot oil treatments. Apply coconut milk onto scalp and hair with a cotton ball. Leave on overnight and shampoo in the morning.
